Mechanical/Materials Science Intern
DUTIES/JOB DESCRIPTION: Advanced Composites, Inc. is looking for an intern who will work with the engineering department and complete various engineering projects. The work will include fabrication, testing, and generating reports/technical documentation. Many projects will require independent work while providing updates to the engineering team. Engineering interns will be supervised and report to the VP of Engineering.
HOURS: The ideal candidate will be able to work approximately 20 hours per week or more during the school year and 40 hours per week in the summer between the hours 7:00AM to 3:45PM Monday through Friday. ***Please only apply if you are able to meet the weekly hourly requirement***
REQUIREMENTS: Must be a local candidate residing in Utah. Interested students should be going into junior or senior year with a major in mechanical engineering, material science, or equivalent field. Preference will be given to candidates with some of the following skills- welding, machining, electronics, fabrication, Solidworks, etc. In additional to applicable skills, coursework in materials and mechanics are a plus.
