In 1995, Wound Up™ unveiled an innovative composite road fork that set a number of precedents in the world of bicycle components. Wound Up™ was the first manufacturer to introduce a patented composite steer tube and the first manufacturer to offer a production composite fork that weighed less than a pound. Our "no compromise" ride quality combined lateral leg stiffness with carbon's unique dampening properties, yet another first. It was not surprising that our forks consistently outperformed those of our competitors in rigorous fatigue and static load tests. There was and still is nothing else on the market quite like Wound Up™.

Even today, the same could be said of Wound Up™ forks. We continue to make refinements and build relationships. Working with both framebuilders and other OEMs, we continually push our product development towards higher performance and uncompromising safety standards.
